We start going back to school tomorrow. I have a meet and greet with my students for a couple of hours and Josh has some meetings so it might as well be the first day of school.
Tonight for our last dinner of the "summer" we had fried oysters (haven't had them since we were on our boat 10 years ago and I've been craving them) and grilled salmon. My dad fried up the oysters and now I've got to do it myself next time because he left me some oysters! Josh grilled up some fresh salmon and we had an old boating friend and his wife join us as well. It was fun to relax and eat some good food before our next 180 school days makes our lives crazy-busy.
We are looking forward to the Puyallup Fair and running our Bank to Bay race. The race is next weekend and Marisa is just as excited as I am. She is hoping that the Mariner Moose or the Rainier's mascot will be there again for the kid's race. It will be my first race since breaking my ankle and Josh is going to run it as well. This is the race in which he hurt his knee last year so we are hoping to come through in flying colors without injury and to have a great time.
